Founder and event organiser, Mark Bailey, has over eighteen years hands-on experience in the balloon industry.
A pioneer in the balloon industry, and has worked on many large events in the industry including the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay.
During the Sydney 2000 Olympic Torch Relay over 340,000 balloons were printed, inflated and distributed to huge crowds at each celebration site for AMP, in conjunction with SOCOG and a further 30,000 printed balloons distributed for the official television broadcaster, Channel 7.
In conjunction with the balloon give-away for AMP, Mark also co-organised the distribution of over 1 million hand-waver flags to the Australian public lining the torch relay route.
This enormous single event was staged in over 150 towns throughout Australia. Mark oversaw a crew of nine incredible people who travelled for the duration of the torch relay to complete one of the most amazing contracts in the history of balloons in Australia.
This contract was
the single largest balloon contract ever awarded in
Australia's history.
Following on from the Olympic Torch Relay, Mark was also involved in the Paralympic Torch Relay. Although this was on a smaller scale over 11,000 balloons were printed, inflated and distributed in various towns throughout NSW.
