Artwork Requirement Tips & Tricks for balloon printing.

The better quality the artwork you supply, the better quality your printed balloons will be.

The best file format to send us is a JPEG with a resolution of 300dpi.
The file size should be at least 10cm wide ( if possible ) as this will assure the image does not distort when we transpose it onto the screen for printing onto your balloons.

File formats we can accept

JPEG - EPS - PDF - ILLUSTRATOR - COREL DRAW V14 or under - PHOTOSHOP CS3 or under
WORD - ( You must embed the fonts or attach the fonts with the file or convert the text to curves )

Some examples of good artwork that will reproduce well on a latex balloon.

Below is an example of Great artwork - it is clean and crisp and will reproduce well on the balloons.

Great Artwork

Priting one line on a balloon is a waste and not good exposure for you, the larger the
image area we are able to print for you the better result you will gain when handing out
your balloons, MAXIMIZE your print area by giving us artwork that is Big & Bold.

MAXIMUM IMAGE AREA

We always assure that your image is as large as possible on the balloon, we are limited to the printable area of a latex balloon of 14cm wide x 14cm deep. If your artwork is wide & narrow it will not show as well on the balloon, so take advantage of the image area and add a phone number under your logo, or a web address, remember a printed balloon can be a FLOATING BUSINESS CARD so without making it too busy, assure that you take advantage of the Maximum Image area to get the best results.

FULL COLOUR LOGOS & ARTWORK

A full colour logo or artwork cannot be printed on a balloon, it will need to be converted to black & white or greyscale, in doing this some colours can get lost, such as yellow & orange, to be sure of the best results, provide a black & white or greyscale logo. For printing of 2 colour ink onto latex balloons the ink colours must not overlap or be touching, there is movement between ink colours when printed and as such there must be a minimum of a 3mm gap between ink colours. If you are unsure if your logo can be printed it is best to call us to discuss & email your artwork through so we are able to assure we can give you the best results possible.

WHAT CAN BE PRINTED ON A BALLOON

Artwork

The above logos can be printed onto a latex balloon as there is colour separation between ink colours, no ink colours overlap although the image on the right will be the largest as it is as wide as it is deep and hence will take advantage of the large image area that is able to be printed. Do not waste your money printing a one line print on a balloon, get the largest exposure possible.

WHAT CANNOT BE PRINTED ON A BALLOON

Printed Balloon

The logos to the left cannot be printed in full colour onto a latex balloons, the colours overlap and it is not physically possible to reproduce them, they can be converted to one colour and be printed with a one colour ink onto different coloured balloons. The artwork is the key to a successful print, ask us for more information, we are here to assist to give you the best possible result for your custom printed balloons.

GREYSCALE PRINTING - HALFTONES ON LATEX BALLOONS

Photographs can be printed onto latex balloons but there are some important guidelines for this to be done successfully, again please ask us if you have any questions. There is a small charge to put photos onto balloons. Photographs can only be printed in black ink, so choose a light balloon colour. The photograph must be a headshot and clear on a white background or similar The photograph must be 300dpi and as close to the finished image size as possible

GREYSCALE PRINTING - HALFTONES ON LATEX BALLOONS

We can print greyscale or half tones on latex balloons in any ink colour, there is an additional charge to do this as there is more time involved to breakdown the artwork to halftones and create the film positive and screen that is required to be able to print the balloons. Half Toning is where one ink colour is used but in various shades to give more depth to the image. Some examples of halftone artwork are shown below. If you have any questions or are unsure, email us your artwork or talk to us and we will be happy to advise you.
