Balloon Event's Mark Bailey was a co-founder of Balloon Print Australia. AMP awarded this company the contract to supply and distribute printed balloons on the Sydney 2000 Torch Relay. Mark is proud to have been a part of this enormous event.
The Sydney 2000 Torch Relay was conducted throughout Australia over a seven month period. Over 340,000 balloons were printed, inflated an distributed to huge crowds at each celebration site for AMP, in conjunction with SOCOG and over 30,000 printed balloons were distributed for Channel 7.
In conjunction with the balloon give away for AMP, over 1 million hand waver flags were distributed to the Australian public lining the torch relay route.
his enormous event was staged in over 150 towns throughout Australia and was the largest balloon contract ever awarded within Australia.
